(hed)pe UK Tour

(hed)pe will be embarking on a 15 date tour in March 2010 in support of their critically acclaimed album  “New World Orphans’ which was released through Suburban Noize Records in June 2009. It’s a fine return to form for the band from Huntington Beach, California who mix up punk rock, hip hop, reggae and metal. From the brutally charged guitar driven killer first single ‘Renegades’ to the Beastie Boys esque punk rocker ‘Middles Class Blues’, the bass laden groves of ‘Higher Ground’ to the Ska influenced ‘Tow the Line’, (hed)pe have delivered an album full of contemporary classics. With every release (hed)pe push the boundaries of free speech and socially acceptable content. “For years I have been told to tune down my lyrics. But great art is supposed to push boundaries. That is what makes people take notice and question things. Provocative and thought provoking art leads to dialogue. And dialogue leads to answers. And that is what we all want isn’t it? “Answers.” For this release (hed)pe put out a call to arms and united an all-star army to deliver their message. Joining the fight is Strange Music’s Tech N9ne who appears on the track "Work" (a song that tackles the media’s perceptions of sex); California rip-hop hybrids Kottonmouth Kings roll up on "Higher Ground", while Oregon's king of rapid-fire rhyme The Dirtball urges listeners to prepare for battle on "Stay Ready.” The band who formed in 1994  consist of Jahred Shane — vocals, Jaxon — guitar , Mawk — bass, DJ Product © 1969 — turntables and Trauma — drums.
