Despite supposedly being labelled as one of Metallica’s favourite bands and having toured with the likes of Arch Enemy, Machine Head, Fear Factory and aforementioned thrash megastars, Mnemic are yet to release anything that could be described as truly compelling. That doesn’t change much with fourth album ‘Sons Of The System’, but that doesn’t mean that the Danes’ blend of industrial metal, melodeath and metalcore doesn’t still have its merits. The irresistible chorus of the title track and Soilwork-friendly ‘Fate’ serve as highlights on yet another indication that Mnemic are a beast with more bark than bite.
